Guys,
The Loyd manual is a little vague on this issue. When I removed one of the front bogies there was the normal UC style retaining collar, but between the bogie and the x-tube bracket there was a thick steel washer and what looked like the remains of a flat section spring, imagine a giant spring washer. Does anyone have some photos of what fits behind the bogie on the axle shaft? The manual says: Washer, Adjusting...

Not to worry chaps, from looking at one of the other bogies, it appears that there are different numbers of washers behind each bogie. I presume it is a case of fitting the bogie and then measuring the gap between the bogie and the retaining collar to get the required thickness for the packing washer required.

I think its a matter of string lining each side to make sure things are in line, and adjusting with washers to suit. The Australian LP2 has a kit of various thickness washers.(they would fit all the other carriers, and probably the Loyd as well)

Sounds about right Lynn, I was planning to slide the x-tube through the mounting brackets and get the same length of axle protruding each side of the Loyd before I use the pinch bolts to clamp it in place. Still I have yet to drift off the remains of the LHS bracket, it is rather happy where it is!
