Can anyone tell me if the following item is still currently a NATO stocked item, and if so, any references to what company might be manufacturing it commercially?
5340-00-047-3977 (AN 742-6) Clamp, loop, steel, cad or zn pl, 3/8 in loop id x 1/2 in wide I need a pair to complete an Instructional C42 Set and all I can find locally these days seems to be plastic or nylon clamps, not even close to the proper look of the original item. David |

David: Item is obsolete. Good news is it was a US made item from TACOM (tank automotive command) and not a British made item. It does not appear to be in the MS series of clamps, which I find a little odd. Perhaps there was something out of spec on this one.
For clamp loops of decent quality, head over to the electrical section of princess auto. They have them made of steel with the rubber coating, and various hole diameters for the screw. |

Thanks for checking on that for me, Rob. I have one reasonable, original survivor which will help in matching up at Princess.
Cheers, David |
