Repro winter AFV Crew Coveralls aka "Pixie or Zoot Suit"
Finally!!
Attached is an announcement and the Word document to use to order yourself a repro winter Crewsuit known as the "Pixie Suit". Well, I would if I could attach a Word.doc. Hanno! Help!! In the meantime, email me and I will send you the word doc. I have had three test suits sent from the maker in Pakistan for inspection, and this one measures up! IMPORTANT!!!!!! YOU MUST PLACE ORDER By March 1st!! these suits are a small production run and the maker is buying the fabric in bulk that he used for the sample in the pictures. Call up the form in the Group Files called "Oversuit.Doc". Look at the size chart and see what works for you. If you see something close, but need tailoring, that can be done for a $30 fee. Or you can have one made to your own measurements. Print the form, fill it in and convert to a .PDF, or take a picture on your phone and send to World Wing1. Delivery in about 60 days. Price depends on size. Starts with US$ 210.00 for a SIze 1 and up to US$ 280 for a Size 8. Plus DHL shipping cost. See the ordering file for details. You might want to think about when you will wear it - and what you plan to wear under it. Spring and fall with just a shirt and trousers, or mid winter over BD and longjohn and such. I got mine to fit over my BD loosely so I can deal with FIG. Pixie1.jpg pixie2.jpg pixie3.jpg pixie4.jpg |

Jim,
It is possible to attach a Plain Text (*.txt) or a Portable Document Format (*.pdf) file to messages here in MLU. I propose you save your Word document as Plain Text and upload it here. Please let me know if that works. HTH, Hanno

Thanks Hanno!!
OK folks, here is the order form as a .PDF. You may know these days you can open a .PDF and edit in it and save to send back out. Depends on your computer software. Safe bet is to print it out and fill it in. The either scan it or carefully take a picture with your phone camera and then send THAT picture to Irfan for the order. Some folks have emailed me to ask for the Word document and I have sent those out. If you are having a problem with getting the order in, just email me or PM and I will help you with it all. Jim,
I have cross-posted this on the Keep Them Rolling (largest Dutch HMV club) mailing list as there are a lot of tall guys in Holland (not to mention the portly ones) who do not fit in wartime sizes. HTH, Hanno

Hi folks, I forwarded the request for cost of shipping to
Irfan sent this back to me today... "Shipping for neatherland is 50$ for one suit and if get 3 on same adress then 125$ for 3 That cost is quoted in US$ so make your currency conversion. Please keep in mind there is a "window" to order these. He will stand up production in a few weeks and only have all the patterns out till end of March. I just don't know what would be prices if you make an order past that, as then it would be a true "One-off" and he might not do it unless there were a batch of orders. Bottom line... "get while the gettin's good". |

Sebastian - if you see this!
Sorry folks that you are seeing this. Not sure if Sebatian Hulshof is also a MLU member. Or if you know him, please contact him.
Hi Sebastian - If you want your suits before W&P, Irfan needs your postal address and your telephone number right away. The country shuts down for a week for a national holiday. If he doesn't get it int he mailto you tomorrow, it won't make it in time. Please send that to Irfan and PLEASE copy me so I can send it by my mail too. |

I realized I forgot post up my review. Overall very very happy with the finished product. The shipping with DHL was very fast. I did have issues with DHL not being able to find my address. However this had nothing to do with Irfan. And thankfully I'm only 20-25min away from a major DHL hub so I just picked it up there.
The issue I had with my order was the apparent wrong size being sent. this was rectified between myself, Irfan and Jim. On my reorder I ordered a size 8 from the info sizing sheet. I did this since the sizes seems to fit a bit small. I figured I could always hem them myself if need be. When my replacement arrived it was labeled a size 8. However the height still did not match up with the high given on the sizing sheet. Thankfully this one still fits and I've kept it.

Winter crew (pixie ) suit
I have to admit that in minus 10 degrees and snow there is nothing better to wear when driving an open top AFV than one of your pixie suits my friend ! Keep on the good work and thanks again for the initiative: One additional chevron on your sleeve crewman Burrill .
