Good Day All,
Just inquirng what is the purpose of the bracket shown on the attached photo? It is mounted on a F15-A that I recently purchased for parts. It is the first one I have actually seen on a truck and have only ever seen a picture of one as shown in the attached AWM photo. That photo doesn't show anything being held in its bracket either. Checking the transmission serial number and ARN's it appears to be a 1943 F15-A "Battery Staff" truck. Just like the AWM photo it had a sunroof but that had been filled in with steel. Sadly, it lived a long time near the sea so most of the steelwork is severely rotted away. All info gratefully received. Cheers,

Jacques, I've not seen that bracket before on Canadian assembled CMPs.
Must be exotic and Australian.... Hanno

Hi Ian and Hanno,
Yes I thought that too and I also notice a bracket at the top of the cab directly above that bracket. Maybe not a water type extinguisher but perhaps a long CO2 extinguisher in view of the heavy construction of the bracket and the bracket at the top? Just wonder if there would be a reason why that type of vehicle would be earmarked for a CO2 extinguisher if indeed it is? Would be good to find a photo of a truck with something in the bracket(s) Cheers,

Maybe they are the same truck and there is only one. Which doesn't explain what the bracket is for though.

Hi Ken,
That would be an amazing coincidence but amazing things do happen! I actually mainly bought the vehicle for the bracket having seen the AWM photo a long time ago. Despite it being very rough, it has given up a few good parts and some good information. I've had my $400 worth of fun from it. Cheers,
