I thought in todays world FMC stood for Food Machinery Corporation.
But even back then, I have only seen Ford use FMCo, so perhaps the FMC on the crate is for something completely different? |

Back in the 1970's, we Jeep nuts thought the FMC branded plates on the Aust. No.3 and 3A Jeep trailers , stood for Food Machinery Corp. Everyone said thats correct , the factory in Sth. Melbourne was even located .......
OPPS we made a error , we now have worked out , it is actually Ford Mo. Company , Geelong , Victoria . And GMH branded trailers doesn't stand for : Green Metal Houseboat .
