Hey thank you for the tip. I'll take a drive up there and look around that area. Glenn

By the way, does Lloyd Gilmour still own the N.H.L. (Nanaimo Harbour Lights) restaurant? Lloyd used to be a referee back in the '70's. |

I think the NHL restaurant closed a couple of years ago. I'm not sure if he is still around Nanaimo or not. Are you from the Island?

I lived briefly, 3 years, on the Island in both Victoria and Nanaimo as a child. Then my folks moved us to the Mainland. Visited the Island many, many times over the years. Used to do a lot of scuba diving in the Gulf Islands and around Porlier Pass. Some of the best diving in the world is on Vancouver Island, and thats coming from someone who's dove in a lot of places! |

I've heard the scuba diving is great here. Never done it myself though. I was just talking to a guy in Ladysmith yesterday about some CMP parts, he said he was involved with the sinking of a Boeing 737 for an artificial reef down in Chemanus. They did it Saturday morning. So that will make some more good diving.
