Talking Santa's Fedex From OZ!

Well Hello MLU-ers ... especially you sneaky Aussies behind these sneaky "heart" attacks you so much enjoy surprizing me with

I received a couple of annoying notes from Kathy and Max today about whether it was cold here and if I had been outside yet.

As it turns out, I finally figured out what they were on about, and clued in because not long before that I had gone out to check my mailbox only to discover two huge boxes sitting on my step ... these I discovered in late afternoon .... new mail delivery person delivers late afternoons now, not early mornings as the last did, so I check late after noons.

The boxes? Fedexed from Vancouver ... boxes containging OH MY GAWD .... goodies galore in 2 gift baskets with little cards saying from MLU and Oz but not naming names ...

My phone rings ... aha ... "Max here" ... wanting to be sure I went outside and found the packages ... "Yes, Max, did so" ... Max telling me everyone wondering as they were told the delivery arrived about 9:00 this morning ........ therefore, incredible to know they sat on my doorstep all day and no one walked off with them (Santa's Guardian Angels I'm sure)

I am stunned ... I am pleased ... I am delighted and I want to say to you warm hearted generous spirited demonstrative lovin' Aussie's behind this ... that yet again, you've given me gifts that will lift me up for years to come ... although I shall be sick as a dog from pigging out on the contents ... contents of which I'll list when I've had a chance and after I've had a chance to take photos of the baskets to show you all. Can't take photos until Wed or so ... so please watch here if you want to see what Aussie Santa has sent my way ... and to you Aussie Santa's who sent ... thank you! (doesn't come close to whats whizzing theough the wee small Ma Yappy about it.)

Amazing baskets ... treasures of coffees, chocolates, other things, even Smoked Salmon and Caviar? All packaged in amazing containers (one a suitcase ... is this a hint about I should use it one day to finally visit you all? ) Wow.

More as I'm less distracted ... which I currently am, at the moment.

Bless Bless from Verra Happy Ma Yappy

Ah, I thank you Master Cliff ... and am blown away and eager to see what all is in these gift baskets and to start nibbling ... well, okay then I'll call it what is will be - DEVOURING!!! so many special treats, many firsts!

Do you know there is supposed to be Caviar in there too? Amazing I already had at the Smoked Wild Salmon (DeLish as Racheal Ray would say ) and the coffee? Well ... I was to have been forced to venture out for coffee today as I was out, into the cold dreary weather ... the COFFEE BASKET cured the need for that outing, I am drinking Europa dark roast as I type ... BLESS BLESS ... and I have NEVER tasted caviar. A few more firsts for Ma Yappy come via MLUers. MLU is like that for me, for sure, a never ending supply of "firsts" for me ... me thanks you and me wee bitty belly thanks you

Ma Yappy

By the way ... just as I was walking by the table that the baskets are sitting on, in order to go refill my cup with Europa coffee 9from the basket) I spotted the little package of Belgian Truffles and checking them out realized they wer starting to melt in my warm apartment, SO, to save them from melting, I just ate all 4 Truffles!

NOTE TO ALL regards from whence these gifts today came, my understanding is that these gifts are sent from and on behalf of all those who contributed whatever towards bringing me to Oz ... and my thank you and delight go back to all of you for sending these gifts and good spirits my way. Gotta loves ya's for all the hings ya's are and do ... and I do. Thanks folks!

On the baskets were little gift cards that say:

1)

Merry Christmas from All at MLU

From the upside down people in the land down under.

Something for you to enjoy, but don't drink it all at once as you may lose your grip on the frying pan.

2)

Merry Xmas from the land down under.

Since you couldn't make it out here, here is a small gift for your enjoyment, everyone is thinking of you.

Merry Christmas from all,
please stop worrying.

--------------------

The message is also my own turned back on me by you lot to make me stop whinging and whining with the guilt trips already and shut up about it and laying that on you all about the trip non-event ... so sorry darling's, accepted, I shall shut up now

Ma

MAx, Kathy, and Emma,

I found a box of HEDGEHOGs in the basket!!!!!!!! Somehow very appropriate and fun to find them just now knowing they also comes from sheep shearing Hedge-s (amongst others) the great instigators of springing things on people!

Well, I stood stunned and shivering in the cold draft in the door way, door open, eyes huge like plates and dropped chin stuck to the ice on my door step, at the site of the perfect and two big boxes (piled as high as the door knob or higher) just settin' there ... "Huh? WHAT? Holy crap!!! What the heck are these???" had to borrow the neighbors hairblower to melt the ice to unstick my chin so I could navigate the boxes through the doors ... don't know if my knees were wobbling from the sight of the boxes or from the cold though

Boxes, one tiny sticker on each one with my name and address and company name who sent and I needed my big maginifying glass to read them ...

CLIFF ,,, except for little holy crap and that comment, I was pretty darned speechless for a change

Ma

I'll have my camera back tomorrow so plenty of time to photograph most of what came, and even I can't plow through all the goodies that arrived, this fast ... I don't know that there shall be pictures of me wee blown up self after I turn Roly Poly Ma Yappy because of you folks sweets and delights though

It's snowing steadily right now. The heavy white beautiful stuff that builds fast, muffles and blankets everything gorgeously ... not good for driving and having to do things that need to clear the snow first when thats a pain and hard to do, but beautiful? Absolutely. So many things are both beautiful and miserable, huh?

I've just been rollin' around all day ... when I bend to try and see my feet past my belly I just fall and roll ... rolled downtown to the shops, rolled back home again, rolled onto the couch for a rest, rolled off onto the floor ... and so on ... and I just keep on rollin', rollin; rollin like a ............ roly poly although a roly poly full of gourmet delights ... the more delighted I get, the more roly poly, and the less chance of finding a date for any Christmas or New Years shindigs might be happening. You people don't know what you're doing to me ya know. I have to live in this town!

Ah, your Beloved Other must have her hands full with you ... (and yes, workin' off the calories is about right ... my little outings today and my fighting with trying to gain access to MLU several times today, and couldn't, and my camera is not working for me (hoping the problem is the cheap batteries and new ones tomorrow will set that right) got me all cranky so the rollin round town did the world of good for my neighbors so I don't finally give 'em what they deserve (maybe its the coffee and chocolate ???????????????????????????)

Seriously ... have had a lot of probblems gaining access the last couple of days for some reason and have tried many things ... sometimes I get in through one link or another and when I go to another page, I'm out again, and can't get back in ... dunno what's upp with this, but still working on it, my end (unless any of you folks getting the "can't access" page too lately???????

Am not so far gone, nor am I so far buttered up with all the goodies, that I won't give you a good or two you know!

Bummer Cranky Ma Yappy is cranky about the camera ... it's always been a little glitchy ... guess it's a cheap one ... but I hope better batteries will be all it takes to make it work, because if not, there will be no picture soon or ever that I can see ... keep fingers crossed for the camera! I NEED it!!! Thanks

All these posts prove one thing very clearly.

People are basically good and have good intent. Can relate to those who are doing it hard, and reward good friendship with real practable concern.

I for one am a better person, through my association with you.

God bless you all and hope you all have a great Xmas.

Regards

Col

Great how you said it all Col ... especially the part about being a better person through association ... thats how I feel too about the quality of folks good natures and hearts in here and the positive effects on me and life. Does wonders for us all to be able to enjoy this when so much is so nasty in the world ... lotsa bad stuff happening and sure is wonderful to share in the good stuff with each other in here.

We all have good and bad in us, (and some strange and anoying aspects in some of us ) hard sometimes to face off with both sides of a person, so when we get to play with the good stuff, great!

I sure wish I could share some gourmet chocolate with you all ... but I can't as you're all too far away
