Default 10.00 X 22 tyres

Desperately seeking Susa... no, wait, wrong forum!

Hi Guys: I need four matching 10.00 x 22 tyres for the work we are doing on our 90mm M1 A Gun. Don't care about tread pattern but NDCC would be nice as thats what is rotting off it right now.

Cheers! Mike

Default tires

I am sure that 11:00 X 22 tires are still available new. I know that size was still available in 1982 on a new truck as we had one where I work. If new is out of your budget I will check with a truck yard this week to check for used tires. I think the 11:00 tires should still fit your rims.

Default Prohibitive cost of new tyres

Hi Paul:

I checked on line and discussed the tyres with the local truck tyre dealer who can get me 11R22 for $485 per tyre! He was concerned that the 11.00 Radials will flex too much and will allow the side walls to touch when set up as duals... o top of that $2000 is way outside my budget for cleaning up this gun.

I would appreciate any matching scrapyard finds!

Where are you located?

Mike

Default Tires

Hi Mike,

I am located in Kingston. I will check into the availability of used tires next week. How important is the condition of the tires? Are you looking for tires to roll around the shop or do they need to be good enough for road use?

Default 10.00 x 22

Hi Paul:

Thanks for extending the search for me! They need to be safe for the road and matched if possible for cosmetic reasons.

Cheers! Mike

Default 22" Tires

Hi Mike,

I checked with a tire dealer today and he has a customer also looking for tires the same size for a manure spreader! I have a few other places to check and will let you know what I find.
