Armoured vehicles are not really my interest but Karen Bracken, one of the participants in our Istanbul-Normandy convoy, asked me to find some stuff on her father's unit (2/9 Divisional Cavalry Regiment) so she and husband Dale can mark their vehicle up as belonging to that unit.
Her father was unfortunately badly wounded when his carrier was hit at Tobruk and never fully recovered before a sad demise at an early age. I found these photos of the unit in Syria and Egypt. I presume these have been seen by most carrier people but may be of interest to others. I aplogise if this is duplicating previous posts. Lang |
