The one over the windscreen is the mount for the sun shade arm.

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the identification. Now my next question I am sure you knew would be asked, does anybody have a picture of one and were they common? I have just looked through my Ford parts book and could not find a reference or picture of the sun screen. Thanks for the help. Derk.

Here are some pics of an original sun shade thing I took at Max's place last year. The last pic is from a recovered cab. I think those sun shade attachments are an Aussie modification. ![]() Greetings Chris

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the response.I know Doug Weatherston has been trying to find out information on the first aid kit for the CMP but has had no luck tracking one down.He only has a picture of the kit list for the trucks with the first aid kit pictured in it.I was wondering where they would have stored the kit,but if you say the brackets are for the bag, that would explain where it was stored.I would think hooks on each side of the bag to attach it to the brackets or a bar running through the top of a canvas bag?Maybe somebody else has information they can add?A mystery yet to solve! Hi Chris, That is the first sun shade I have seen for a CMP.Out of all the one's here in Canada,I have not seen one, even on wrecks there is not a hint of anything ever mounted there.Does any other CMP scrounger out there know of a sun shade mounted on any trucks they have come across?Interesting! Thanks all for the help! Derk.
