Default Did it again! Bought a 1953 M38A1

Well I have to blame Bob from the Hammond Barn, I am suppose to be downsizing but today I went to see Jim Fraser and I ended up buying a M38A1 to restore and a spare vehicle for parts. I got a good vehicle, the body is in very good condition with little if any through rust. The vehicle will be our project vehicle for next year. My wife absolutely wanted a jeep even though she has an ambulance (M1010). Well, keep the little woman happy and she lets me buy more toys.
Now I will have to find the manuals for the M38 and do some reading. Once we get the vehicle home we will do a complete examination to determine what we need to. It will be a good winter project.
This vehicle will fit in well with our duece and 5 ton wrecker, same era. Will post pictures Gilles

Default Gilles, go to the hospital and get the right shots!

Good Lord man! Get the vaccinations as quick as you can. The green disease is biting you hard, but I don't know if the Quebec regie de l'assurance maladie would understand.

Terry no it's too late, no shots can cure me now. As stated before this jeep is for my wife Carolle, she was told that she will have to get her hands dirty and help us on the restoration. She agreed to that. In our family the green disease is rampant and there is no cure. We say no more , at least till we see this cute little orphan sitting all alone in a big old barn, and those big round headlights just scream "TAKE ME HOME" "TAKE ME HOME" You can't resist. This will be # 9 in the collection. What is even worse I saw a M151 and if it hadn't been sold I would have taken that also. I couldn't convince Jim Fraser to tell Eric that someone had stolen his Mutt. Gilles
