Default Ford Cab 11 FGT info wanted

Hello All
Chasing information and pictures regarding the floor pan arrangement and pan panels to suit a Ford Cab 11 FGT

How were the chassis supplied for body installation (what was fitted in cab chassis form) ?

What is the arrangement of components on the floor pan ?

Did the beetleback body slide in to gap of floor pan or was it fitted over a full width floor pan as in the Chev CGT's ?

Default Me thinks....

....from memory of original Ford factory pictures ...it seems that the rolling frame with front cab was done first and a total "beetle" back unit was installed later...... Ford pictures show the bare frame cab up to the rear of the cab floor section including the battery box already in place located centrally on the floor.... pic was available on MLU on previous threads.....

I beleive that pictures of the cab/rolling frame were also available seen parked in large number in Ford factory assembly areas

below are some pictures showing FAT chassis. The first is from Service Publications disc of factory photos the second and third are labled as CGT but shows how they came from the factory. I am not sure where I got the last 2 photos from.

I'd like to suggest that as this was an evaluation model bought here for testing that you restore it as supplied from the factory or with a truck cab rather then try and put a FAT body on it. This is just my 5 cents worth

Pics came from an album Brian Gough has which I photographed and put some up on Oldcmp.net.
It looks like they had the standard floor and driver's seat from the factories so they could be moved easily before bodies were added.

That is what I am thinking too
Restoring to as supplied status
Mostly trying to work out what components were supplied when delivered
Appears to me by various photos seen that the Ford and Chev floor plates for the gun tractors are different .
Chevs seem to have the full width floor pan and the beetleback body just slid straight over it
The Ford ones however appear to be cut in around the centre section of the beetleback chassis(On mine checker plate has been welded in to these areas at moment)
My biggest dilema is that if restored to this floor pan configuration no seat would be able to be fitted and the vehicle would pretty much only be useable as a static display
A very boring and sad state for an old girl
Attached is a few pictures of Loyd's cab 12 in gympie showing floor pan and beetleback seats attached to body

Default I see what you mean

That cut out would make seating rather difficult. Interesting to see how much higher the seating position is in an early FGT compared with the standard cab, around the same height as a cab 13, but with the pedals relatively lower.

Default Cgt

This photo is I think of the CGT prototype being assembled at Oshawa. I cannot see any evidence of a driver's seat even on a better image. Note the lack of an engine cover.
