Default "B" Series oil filter

According to the Champ site the Crosland 432 oil filter will fit the range of Rolls Royce "B" Series engine. This is all well and good but the part No. is obsolete in Australia, and after spending hours on the internet seems that with one exception (Khaki Imports in USA) they are not available elsewhere. (Sounds like Croslands themselves are no longer as well?)
Does anyone know of another suitable filter?
I know that there is an adaptor for screw on filters, but have been told that while OK for the B40, they do not cope with the oil flow in a B60.
What do all you Ferret guys use?
Marcus Glen stock the original style, but I would prefer something closer, and I imagine that they will not be cheap.
last time I asked Tim Vibert he only had Moth Eaten (I mean this literally) originals.
Any help whatsoever will be most appreciated.....
Rich.

The spin on oil filter adapter works well on the B60 such as the Ferret, no issues there.

Thanks for your input Robin, still trying, but may have to go this way and hope for the best.
Rich.

Hi Howard,

Those dimensions don't sound quite right for a RR B range oil filter. I normally use the original felt types. Have just cross referenced the Crosland 432 number to AC Delco (UK) list and come up with these dimensions, perhaps Rich can confirm them as correct?

AC FF52
Outside diam. 3.87"
Length 9.38"
Inside diam. 0.5"

regards, Richard

Crosland is still alive and well and still market under their own brand name.

However they have been taken over by a company called SOGEFI
