Default Black Watch markings

Hi,
I'm part of the group in Huntsville restoring a MkII for the Legion chapter here in town.
Can anyone suggest a source for reference material related to correct markings for a carrier belonging to the Royal Highland Regiment of Canada(Black Watch)?
I've contacted the Regimental Museum/Archives. They are in the process of renovating and are willing to help, but not easily at the present time. I've seen the general vehicle marking section in canadiansoldiers.com.
I will continue to comb the internet as well.
Thanks,
Matt

Matt.

as fantastic as this site is (and its the best on the web i might add) you may want to try the www.ww2talk.com forum, the guys there are second to none for details such as this... there is a chap called Tom Canning who is a canadian ww2 veteran, served in Italy a nice bloke with zero time for bullmuck... Owen is another who could quote markings dates and theatres for you.

Cheers

Richie

Richard, taking into consideration that Matt only posted his RHC markings enquiry today, I rather take exception to your reply directing him to another forum and more or less saying that the MLU members cannot adequately reply to his enquiry. We have some very learned MLU members who could more than adequately be of assistance to Matt.

For Matt, what time period are you looking at?

Cheers

Gentlemen,
Thank you both for your responses.
I'm going to have to check with other members of the restoration group with regards to which campaign needs to be represented.
I may have to bump this post after I get more info from the people I'm working with.
Regards,
Matt

My son was working at the RHR museum last summer and probably will again this year. I think we can fix you up...

Mark... re read my first post.... all I was suggesting was that if Matt wanted a rediculous in depth detailed reply the forum i recommended would be good... there are many many members on here who are also members there ?!

the first sentence i posted "As fantastic as this site is, and its the best on the web i might add"

sorry if I offended you that was not my intention, we rarely discuss markings in detail on this forum (carrier forum) where as on the forum I recommended there has been a lot of discussion and research into the subject for which people have made errors displaying the wrong markings for wrong periods and theatres.

am I forgiven ?
