I picked up and Aussie carrier this week. Full under carriage, tracks, rear end. Rolls easily. Hull has been cut down. No engine and lots of missing parts, but the start of something, I am sure. Pictures will be up on my website shortly.

If the main data plate near the drivers position is missing it is also stamped on a piece of angle just above the diff inside the hull. This applies to LP2 and 2A.

So you'll be looking for manuals and parts lists, then?
The Aust MG carrier is unique in many ways: little from an English carrier will fit or is appropriate anyway, so looks like you'll be making lots of new friends in Australia while seeking spares and fittings!! There is also my book on the Aust LP carriers to be considered, if you want some history of the type. Email me if you want a copy and I'll work out postage, etc, Wonder how an Aussie cut-down carrier came to be in the USA? Mike C Last edited by Hanno Spoelstra; 07-10-12 at 06:49.
