Default FORD F30 photos wanted!

Hi all there!

As the title says, Im looking for pictures of Ford F30 ambulances (wheelbase 134') of any kind, from any era and from any angle!
And the reason is that Im writing an article at ours MV Club magazine!

Has anyone seen this F30 depicted in the second photo, in shows around UK?

Hi Kostas,

The second photo had me thinking when you sent it to me last week. I remember that Ford, it is actually a LAA tractor, the correct body was removed and I have a feeling the ambulance body may have come off a 3 ton chassis. The owner who fitted that body went to live in France, have a feeling he took the vehicle with him. That photo was taken a long time ago ........

regards, Richard

Default Just the Ford version?

Hi Kostas

Are you looking just for the Ford Version of Ambulance? Or are you interested in the 30 weight version Ford or Chevy Ambulance with 16 inch wheels?

Reason I ask is that there are number of Ambulances with the 16 inch wheels that have been posted to MLU or the years which I have saved and can re-post.

There are also some photos in Bill Greggs Canadian Military Vehicles Series Vol. 3

Cheers Phil

Phil,

Im looking definitely for a Ford version of Ambulance judging from a few post war photos and some vehicle remains we found before some years.
I think that the vehicles shown in the photo below are F30s, what's your opinion?

Richard,

A french friend of mine promised to send me photos of a F60L Ambulance in France, which adorns a local Museum's collection! More soon!

16-inch wheels, so those must be F30's. The F60S had 20-inch wheels.

Search this forum for information and pictures, Phil has a few on his site, too: http://www.canadianmilitarypattern.c...ationShare.htm

Hi Kostas,
I think those ambulances are on a 158" wheelbase chassis as I can see spare wheels behind the cabs on two of them.
regards, Richard

Ah yes, if 158" WB they are those elusive F60L chassis with 16-inch wheels, light steering box etc.

Would this be the 134-inch WB version?

Never a dull moment with CMPs....
