Hi Guys,
In pursuit of this C-60X - Cab 13 - no id plates but it looks like a 1944-45 version. This one is going to be a bit more work to get out of the bush. Here is the link: http://postimg.org/gallery/2lfqmaow/ I will post more pictures as work progresses. Regards, Richard

If I were you I would report the exact location as it seems that the gravitational pull is extremely high in that area ... it sure sits low into the ground.
What ever you do please take off and save the head light bucket(s) Otherwise nice work Sherlock. Save it if you can. Bob C.

I have seen 4 blitz trucks from Adelaide to Broken Hill. All chev i think, one was way off the road in a farm land could not make it out. One bloke has got axles and other spare parts and 2 chevs, the other tuck was in the back streets in a transport yard and was painted blue with a crain on the back in a town on the way yo BH. I did have photos but some bugger stole my phone i dont know if it will come up on goggle maps but ill check it out.

Nice find Richard. You don't see a C60X every day, at least not here. A pity that the fuel tanks are already gone; they are the larger ones as fitted to C60X and FAT.
The rims look rather small.....almost like 16inch in stead of 20? Alex yeah....as Bob mentioned, save the early cab 11/12 headlight buckets!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your comments. I will do a more complete inspection of the vehicle next time I'm there later this coming week. I spotted a CMP fuel tank in an old storage building next to where the truck is. As far as the owner knows, his grandfather drove it around the farm and ended up just parking it right where it is now. The plan is to have a scrap recovery company come into the site and remove everything that isn't of value. While they are there, we will have them pull the C60X out onto level ground. I will then be able to determine it's condition. I will then have it loaded on a float truck after we pull it out to the road. I will post pictures of the recovery effort as it occurs. Is the C60X frame and springs strong enough to transport a carrier? Any ideas on what else could be outfitted on the back of C60X? Cheers, Richard

Hi Guys,
Well, the C60X got pulled out of the bush last week and was moved to level ground. It rolls but doesn't have steering capability. It will be loaded on a float and brought to my shop sometime this week. Going to have to increase the size of my storage shed. I'll post more pictures when I get it power washed and cleaned up a bit. Regards, Richard
