Dennis was the first company to produce Loyds after the initial run by Loyd himself, I believe the Dennis factory was reasonably close to Loyds works making ironing out production issues all the more easy. The only records we have are the production cards at Bovington and they were filled in, in a rather hit and miss fashion, dates being very patchy! As your batch was in the first production run I would suggest 1941 as a good presumption. The second and final run by Dennis has dates in the 1943/44 period.

Lynn, Nigel used the Bovington cards to compile the list in his book, so as I say, dates are hit and miss. I have a scan of the card covering the second Dennis run and it is a mess, three different totals for the run, with differing dates and lts crossed out!

Worth trying Surrey County Archives, they hold a lot of Dennis factory records and build sheets. I got one for a 1928 fire engine, gave precise details of the particular vehicle's spec.
