To all of you who have logged in here with your comments...thank you...specifically:
Frank Misztal for overnight accommodation and the pictures Sunray for bar tending and company(where's your pics..you were the Official Photographer) Stewart Loy for his commitement to the cause, by taking a day's vacation and the use of his mighty truck and flat bed trailer. Our combined round trip mileage was 1846 Km. Dave Moore for a seamless "change of command" ceremony Keith Webb..."What did it feel like?"...even though I haven't driven a CMP since the early '60s, there are just some things one doesn't forget. During the test drive, the inspection door by one's left leg became unhinged, caught in my pant leg and caused a mild panic as I tried to shift. Other reports of a "heightened" attitudinal nature can be ignored, since I was too busy with rules of the road! ![]() Chris Vickery...The vehicle was picked up in Kingston ON. Bought from Dave Moore, who,in turn, got it from Manitoba. Brian Gough...Yes, that was Dave Moore lurking in the background...and yes that's the vehicle in question. It is really in fine shape. Dave Hayward, Euan McDonald, Jonnie, Carman, Harry Moon, JD Baillie, Tony Smith...thank you all, and I apologize for not recognizing your e-mails sooner. As can be imagined, I've been outside, prowling, poking, inspecting, adjusting, reading MB-C1 manual, and all sorts of other stuff. No doubt I may have to call on some of you for advice or for your experience with a related problem. Cheers, for now...gotta check tyre pressures...
