We have one here in Shilo right now(unless it has headed home in the past week or so), borrowed from Edmonton. Base Maint had it for demonstrations at the summer fair and at Canada day. This one was based on a Cdn3.

Has anyone done a photi essay on what the vehicle is?
I think I may have pictures somewhere but not sure. We should understand how it was modified. Was there an official process or were they done locally?

I am surprised there was never a Jiffy Iltis.

There was nothing "jiffy" about an Iltis. Even if you were just using the front axles, it would take you 20 minutes just to remove and install those allen head bolts from the drive axles.
