Might be interesting for our Universal Carrier friends: Bren Gun Carrier flathead V8 exhaust manifold ?
I have no connections to the seller. |

It seems to be a left hand exhaust manifold for a Ford V8, but I would question if it is actually for a Carrier.
As I understand it, the Mk I and Mk II used the manifolds from a 1937 Ford with the connection to the pipe at the front of the engine and exiting at right angles (See pic below). Aussie and NZ LP1, 2 and 2a used the same exhaust manifolds as found on CMP's, that is '39 to '45 Ford/Mercury. This could still very well be a military manifold of some type, possibly an early Carden-Loyd or Vickers or possibly some sort of industrial type (Generator/pump/stationary engine). |
