| For UK members

This request is aimed at UK members, mainly because it is unlikely that what I am looking for will be found outside of the country. To assist me in the completion of the restoration of a prewar British tank, I am looking for 2pin plugs and line sockets. Now these are actually household 240 volt items, 5 amp. Not legal anymore apparantly. They must be the flat body, preferably black or brown round pin type and the socket being a female version of the plug, on the end of the cable. I have no doubt there are some of these laying in draws or sheds or on the end of cables for disused table lamps, so if anyone can help, I would be very grateful, and am in need of 3 plugs and 3 sockets. This may seem an odd request but these items were original equipment on the tank. Richard |

| 5 amp plug Quote:
I have found the plugs and sockets listed in an old War Office Vocab. Details are; "Stock no. LV6 MT3 / 17297 Plug, 2-pin, 5 amp, flat vulcanite, 21/32" pin centres. GEC/S831A or similar for wander leads on vehicles" |

Don't have any of those in the box with surplus electrical bits 'n bobs. Will keep an eye open, though. What sort of prewar British tank are you restoring? H. |
