I have worked on two Carrier engines recently and both have suffered from the same problem of flat spots caused by the pistons in the carburetor accelerator pumps seizing in their bores.
Even my spare Nos Carburetor in its original sealed box had the same problem. Is this a common problem with Zenith Carburetors or have I just been unlucky? |

Neil,
The material that the carbs are made of can develop a coating on it after a long period, sort of oxidising. The bore may need to be polished. Richard |

I think I may have asked this question before, but on the Zenith Carbs to weaken the mixture do you screw in or out the adjuster screw.
