Default 1950-60s Ford/Marmon-Herrington Aircraft refuelling truck

Koninklijke Luchtmacht Aircraft refuelling truck (eBay Item number: 6542334888) says this is a 1950-60s Ford/Marmon-Herrington Aircraft refuelling truck in use with the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Can anyone identify the base model Ford truck, please?

Thanks,
Hanno

Hanno at a guess without looking up all my references to find out more at the moment the Truck appears to be about 1955. Bill would probably be able to tell us more and I will try over the next few days to gig out my books and have a look for you.

cheers
Cliff

Hi guys:
I am working on three other ID projects at the moment and will revert with more concise info soon.
Hanno, your truck is basically a 1956 Ford and could be a C500. C600 or C700, of that I am sure.

Default I Know I Know

Hi Hanno
I have recently been buying Bart's books wherever I can get them. In his Observer's Military Vehicles Directory from 1945 there is an identical photograph. It is described as a

Truck, 3 ton 4x4 Tractor (Ford Marmon/Herrington C800) V-8-cyl., 200 bhp, 4FIRx2. Modified commercial Ford (US) "Big Job", 1956 with Struver-Deutz aircraft feuller S-T. Overall length 9.90 m. Tank capacity 12,000 litres. Pump equipment (capacity)750 l/min.) behind cab. Tyres 10.00-20

The picture is on page 273.
