Hi everyone.
Im wanting to get some parts from either Mac's antique autos or Dennis Carpenter repros. Im in need of the nut that goes into the vacuum control on the distributor. My engine has the line already but it just loosely push fits into the threaded hole on the distributor. Im thinking this may explain lots of misfiring when the engine is under load. I found that both Macs and Dennis Carpenter lists the vacuum tube. DISTRIBUTOR VACUUM TUBE LINE 21A-12226 1 Each 1942-1948 Would this be what I want or need. Or is the nut something along the line of a brake line connector or compression fitting.

Well I got my new vacume line today along with some other needed parts. Im still stuck as to what attaches the line to the distributor. Please see the picture. Would it be somthing like a compression fitting?
Need sugestions from those who have Ford flatheads.

In the scrap parts department, I found this line with the original compression fitting still attached (Firm!).
