Ford hoods on Chev trucks

This picture is in the for sales section I've copied it here because it a 12 cab Chev and like mine it has a Ford hood. I have a 12 cab 30cwt LAA that has the same and have come across several other 12 cab Chevs in the UK so fitted.

Anyone know why?
