| TRACTOR 4X4 A/T 6Pdr CONVERTED

What exactly does a Morris-Commercial "TRACTOR 4X4 A/T 6Pdr CONVERTED" look like? Was this the C8/AT? Found on Ebay: WWII Morris commercial 4x4 guntractor A/T badge Item number: 220043579040 Quote:

My immediate reaction was that this was a plate off of a 1943-4 rebuild by Morris Commercial Cars Ltd in Adderley Park, Birmingham. I then thought that this was originally a 2-pounder Portee or Predictor that was rebuilt to either "normal" or airportable FAT. But now I wonder if it was a rebuild on a C8/FAT? The photos I had from the Parachute Regiment museum came to mind: http://www.mapleleafup.org/forums/sh...ghlight=morris Last edited by David_Hayward (RIP); 09-11-06 at 10:40. |
