| Royal Artillery Glossary of Terms and Abbreviations

Evening Gents In case any of you are struggling with Royal Artillery terms and abbreviations, the above book (written by me) may be of some assistance, having said that, my working copy is much larger, so if you've got it already, but can't find the term or abbreviation, PM me, and I'll try and help. Regards Phil |

Link to my site about the book as requested: http://pjjobson.web.officelive.com/default.aspx Sorry Red Bag Charge 8 isn't in it (yet), although there is a comprehensive section on what a charge is and how it can be made in increments. Phil |

Don't be too quick - I have unhappy memories of an RCHA Regimental shoot that landed too close to my Platoon position one time! the shock of the rounds bounced me off the ground a good 8"....'Dropshort' was the nicest thing we said that day....

Seaforthpiper Whilst the book is mainly about the terms and abbreviations used by the regiment, I have included more than a few derogatory nicknames from other branches, as you say, Dropshort is probably the nicest one out there, and it is already in the book! Phil |
