I purchased a UC 1 built in 1942. It seems to run ok but needs plugs points and possibly a clutch adjustment. I believe it has been modified as it looks quite different than some I have seen on this forum and elsewhere. I will post a picture soon! Terry Last edited by TCLARK; 02-04-10 at 08:46. Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the family.... we are somewhat a crazy few, but anyone that saves one of these beasts is a hero in my book

| Shermanized?

It looks to me like someone tried to make this carrier into a small Sherman. The markings are for the Calgary Regiment, as seen on Churchill tanks at Dieppe and Shermans in Sicily and Italy.

I talked to the former owner and this unit has been in a movie. It may have to become a parts machine although it runs so well . I guess it is a kinda "rat rod" carrier. I will post front end pics when I fire it up and take it out for a spin. Terry |
