| PTO for Ford truck

I have acquired a Servex winch for my Ford/Marmon Herrington gun tractor and need to find or make all the linkages and controls to get it working. I just spent a few hours at the South Australian Military Vehicle Museum checking out their vehicle to see how it all goes together. Most of it can be fabricated if need be except the PTO for the Ford gearbox. Does anyone have one to part with or leads to same. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated as would leads to any genuine other parts. I would like to know if they are a Ford part or made from another source too.

| Maybe a little more information about your truck

Hi Jack Your post described your truck as a Ford/Marmon Herrington gun tractor, which some of our readers will know exactly what you have, then there are the rest of us. So may be a year and a picture, would help some us who might have parts book sitting our shelf with and explode view of the linkage you are looking for. Besides I always enjoy seeing what restoration projects people are working on. Cheers Phil

It is a 41 model as in the second photo and shown above by Keith and Tony at Corowa this year. The first photo shows a 39 Ford 1 ton ute leading the parade which shares the same roadster cab as the gun tractor. I also have one of these utes which I am currently restoring as well. |
