| Eagle Mating Story

OK this one fits under slow news day or living a rural state - Eagle's Mating on the road in travel lane of the major east-west highway in New Hampshire holds up traffic. No I'm not making this up. Quote:
The news reported that a State Policemen had stopped to protect and check on the birds who were busy on the ground. He called Fish and Game who came and said they're OK just leave them alone. After finishing the two birds flew off.

| slow newsday

My definition of a slow newsday is when the reporters start interviewing each other at some big event. I don't care if there are news crews from Outer Mongolia covering the Oscars. The worst abuse of electrons is when they have interviews about a third reporter. Such as when an American journalist was killed recently in Homs, Syria, and the CBC called up her bureau chief and they gabbed for an inordinate length of time.

| No decency.....

You would think the Fish and Wildlife guy would have put up some curtains or screens, supplied lubricants, some soothing music, etc. and afford them some privacy....... ...after all they are an endangered animal....... Bird lover !!!!!

| If this had happen month and half ago

Hi Bob Thought you would get a kick on of this one. How, if this had happened month and half ago when New Hampshire was the center of the US Presidential Primary Race, we would have had: Four political pollsters trying to find out who the eagles were going to vote for. Six reports covering the story on National News Live Seven political strategist trying to figure out if their candidate should be for or against Eagle relationships. Eight Presidential Candidates asking their staff what a bald eagle was But as it is now at the end of New Hampshire's winter without snow, and not enough ice on the lakes to go ice fishing, its something to talk about. Cheers Phil
