With an adapter any engine is suitable to fit in a Chevrolet ... I think he is mistaken about the interchangeability of CMP components.

Zeer zeldzame Ford FGT cab 11.
Bj 1940.

Dit is 1 van de eerst prototype Gun Tractor's waar er door Ford maar enkele van zijn gebouwd, o.a met banjo assen en spiegelsteunen op de spatborden.

De Ford V8 motor is gereviseerd. Versnellingsbak, tussenbak, koppeling en differentieels zijn nagekeken en goed. De auto rijdt en is verder geheel compleet en orgineel.

De opbouw is voor 75% gereed en dient te worden afgebouwd, er zijn 2 orginele in slechte staat verkerende cabines bij die als voorbeeld dienen. Veel werk is al gedaan. (foto's aanwezig)

Alex, that would be this one, right?

Pity, IIRC it was a loaner from the Netherlands Army / Netherlands Army Museum, I'm sure they'd want it back if the museum has no futher use for it

Hanno, I don't want to point fingers as I am not sure it's the same one.
But, if I remember correctly...the museum had about 6 different trailers for sale on the clubwheels website earlier this year. The watertrailer was one of them. The ad was removed before I could put the link in the CMP's for sale in Holland thread.

Yes it is the same water trailer , it was as Hanno says on long therm loan with several other trailers and GMC`s from the Dutch Army . How they got away with selling these I don`t know.

Ouch, not good. I thought that was something from the 80's.....selling or giving away items that were on loan...It's sad to hear that it's still happening!

I'm in contact with the seller and i'm getting more and more enthusiast about this Ford, but keep struggling with the price.

It's a very nicely restored truck, even though I have to agree with Maurice that the invasion star is somewhat strange. The truck was part of the same batch as my C8, brought to Holland by Dirk Leegwater.

Good luck on saterday and please post on MLU if you become the new owner!

Invasion star is indeed a bit strange, but it will get a repaint anyway to get it more authentic for Western Europe.
