Thumbs up Aussie 18lb'er &4.5in howitzer question

Has anyone got a photo of the shield mounts after the conversion to 900X20 wheels & tyres of either or both these guns I can have for scale modelling purposes?

Default shield

Cliff when the conversion was done on the 18Pr the wheels were outside the shield with mesh guards, so maybe no change to mounts.

Bob the photos I have show the original shield mounts on the 18lb gun to be attached to the original axle so did they just cut the stub axle off the original axle leaving the shield mounts as they were OR were they replaced with new shield mounts?

My photos from AWM etc. don't quite show this.

Guys does anyone have any info on the conversion from WW1 configuration of the 18lb gun in Aussie service? I really do need the info to convert a kit I am about to buy of the British version. I do have photos of the conversion done to the limbers but is the gun the same?

For the limber the original axle was completely removed according to some photos I have BUT if this was done to the gun carriage new shield mounts would be needed as they attached to the old axle.

Mike Cecil can you help or do you know someone who may be able to take a few pics of a real one for me?

Thanks in advance
