| CMP Pole Trailer

I went for a drive this afternoon and picked up the remains of a CMP pole trailer. Towed it home , off highways, no problem! Looking for any pics or publications that might show me the whole trailer. The back cradle is there, but nothing up front. Split rims, 9.00- 20.00 'S. A good CMP day! Rob

| 20 cwt?

Hello Don. I am not sure of anything with this two wheeled Ben Hur carriage! No data plates, I will try and post a pic shortly, but anybody with an easy pic to post would be apppreciated. Took the HUW "Nipper" for a nice little ride this afternoon, she's ready for the season.

| CMP Pole Trailer

Hi Rob, In Bill Gregg's Vol. 1, "Canada's Fighting Vehicles Europe 1943-45" there is a Pole Trailer (15 cwt, 2-wh) on p. 164. The Vehicle code is 15-P-Pole. It says "recent issues are 20-cwts with 7.00 x 20 tires." "Body Details- Composite wood and steel, wood sides and floor, hinged tail-gate, parking jacks, impact brakes. Removable stowage compartment for cross-arms, insulators, camouflage nets. Will carry about 40 poles. " Congratulations on a nice find. No matter how incomplete it is, it has to be very rare.
