Default CMP Cab 13 Rifle Bracket Drawings

Hi Kevin,

I made the attached drawing a few years ago of the bracket. They would not be hard to fabricate. Never did the upper part of it with the spring clip but if you want to fabricate it I can knock out a drawing of that.

Likewise many years ago I posted a drawing of the wooden rifle butt holder here on MLU. An easy woodworking fabrication.

On an original bracket on an Australian truck, that spring clip had the remnants of a leather cover as opposed to rubber covering as in picture. Perhaps rubber covering was used on trucks delivered to other countries

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

We could still order the cmp rifle clip from the Canadian supply system in the early 90s. Most were rubber but some were leather. It was the same for the enfield firing stand clips but revered. Most were leather and some rubberized.

Kevin, I have at least one but probably two as per your left photo. I can get photos on the weekend if you are interested.
Cheers
Barry
