Question Blitz derrick

From memory the ford parts books '42 on? mentions a blitz derrick. Has anyone seen a photo or know anything about them. I have seen them mentioned anywhere else. There maybe one in my local area which is supposedly an original ex-army truck. If they existed how common were they.

Many thanks to those who care to reply
Chris

Default Werro Derrick

The truck I think you may be thinking of is an original, in as far as it's an ex-Army Derrick. See the first pic in this thread.

Default Derrick

Tony's right... the derrrick also appeared on 'Lorries', or modified conventional pattern trucks.

Tony's picture is the exact truck i was referring to.
Ford f60l with canvas doors. I remember it having a motor between cab and crane. It sit in a scrapyard with 3 other blitzes. Is it a hand operated crane?.
