			Hi

My partners and I have just picked up a halftrack project. Roller model with headlights mounted on the fenders. Serial number on frame is M3-6388. Open to your thoughts on the build year and manufacturer. Thanks Dan www.cmedcentre.ca |

Dan, do you have any additional information, pictures etc?

M3s were made by various manufacturers, could be a Diamond T, White or Autocar...

The one pictured on your web site is or was an M-16 Multiple gun..by the armour cutaways on top to allow the guns to rotate.. That would be a Diamond T..Autocar..or White.. You have another one that sounds like the International Harvester..A pix would help.

Hate to disagree with you Alex but IHC only made M5, M5A1, M9, M9A1, and M14 models. The M3, as described by the serial prefix, must be a White, Autocar or Diamond T.

These manufacturers followed the same spec to build what is commonly referred to as the "White" model. The other of course is the International model, a beast onto its own design although it utilized many of the White features, mainly the track, suspension and bogey wheel system.
