Great video, thanks for posting it up.

I love some of those shots and the way the drivers were putting them through some tuff going. Not to often do you get to look down into them from the top. I also loved the jump that one of them went over for the brass at the 24sec. spot.

Your correct the vehicle is carrying 50 caliber but they are talking about Bren Guns.

The part I love is that just as with so many of these "historical experts" the people writing the scripts and editing the film, have almost no real knowledge about what they are talking about. I some times suspect that when they do know the difference but can not find the right film they just rely on the fact that most people watching will not know the difference.

But the film is very interesting as are the others in the series.

Folks,

I believe that our friend Terry Johns in MO is doing a series about Universal Carrier is the MVPA Supply Line publication. This series has been going on for more than a year now, and has done a splendid job of showing off the tiny tracked machines in all of their glory. The next edition is supposed to be about the use of machine guns on the U/C.

I suspect that very few of these unique conversions scurry about ...

Here is another great wartime news short. I just love the voice over and his use of words. Such style.

Anway the jeeps appear to have Cnd hood numbers.

Just click on the screen grab and it will auto start, Enjoy.
