With the mobility of militaria and its vendors, where something was purchased my not be relevant, unless Wendel is saying a similar bag was a battlefield find in Normandy. As to it being for the Far East, radio kit was pretty much standard so it's likely there would be no variation on that account.

I recall seeing a bag similar to that for the No.18 (or 68) set but would need interior dimensions of the bag to confirm that. I think this possible because the 18 wasn't waterproof. My second best suggestion would be the No.46 set except it is waterproof and therefore wouldn't need the bag. A specialized type of equipment (ie. ship to shore) outside the usual radio sets is always a possibility too.
