Default F30 Steering Question

The steering box in my F30 is U/S due to damage to the worm and roller after the collapse of the roller needle bearings at some stage in its previous life as a sawmill sawdust truck.
While I hunt for a serviceable box I made up a temporary one out of bits to enable me to move the truck around.
I have found that the way the draglink goes together is different to that shown in the MB F1 manual.
There appears to be no way it can be assembled as shown in the diagram although I could be wrong.
I have another spare draglink with undisturbed springs and this looks just the same as the one I have assembled.
The logic of the shown assembly is clear so you would think that all the various model draglinks should be the same.
Does anyone have any comments?
Terry
