Hi Rob,
As we own and restored a Loyd carrier we found out that the airflow goes from the engine through the rad at the back. If you install an ordinary fan with the airflow from the rad to the engine, you'll get some serious headaches from all the fumes and crap from the engine inwards the carrier, very nice if you have the tarp on (NOT).
