Here´s a picture of a Pig on Cyprus captioned "Canadian UN troops, probably in Turkish-Cypriot Village, 1964" (source: Life Magazine @ Google).

Canadian UN troops, yes, you read it right! On Cyprus some pigs were also used by Danish and Canadian troops under the auspices of NATO.

I understand they were painted a sand colour (Light Stone?)
