Bob

We took the carberetor off the 13 cab too use on the 12 cab. We knew it worked right and would be one less variable. To get the truck to run was the challenge, to get it to idle should be easy. The old carburetor wasn't gummed up, it was silted in! It certainly smoked when we tried to start the engine, but with all the oil we poured into it to relube the rings and free it up that was too be expected

Ian McColl has given me some information on this truck and it has an interesting history. The Elliot brothers bought this truck and stripped it of anything valuable and did a mix and match replacement of the cargo and tool boxes. As a result there isn't much left. There are no mud guards or chain lockers and no black out lights or mounts.

I may be in a better situation to do the tailgate fabrication. Unlike the Hammond Mob, I don't have a real job too go to and a warmer shop.
