Default Rememberance Weekend

Yesterday (07/11/09) I along with 4 other vehicle owners, surported our local British Legion branch for the annual poppy day collection. This has taken ages to organise with the Legion, but I now have a very good contact on the inside. Overall a very good day, albeit cold, chatting to veterens and public alike. The most interesting veteren was a driver of a wasp carrier, and who also had fond memories of CMP vehicles. Not sure how much we collected as yet, but it was good to know we did our little bit, even if it was only for a few hours
The other upside to this was that the shopping centre where we were, wants us back again next year with more vehicles !
Anyone else doing a similar event in your area/country ?
Regards
Keith
