Chevrolet 1.5 ton chassis

Hi guys
I'm looking for information about Chevrolet trucks. As we all know, the LRDG standardised on the Chevrolet 1533 chassis for their desert patrol vehicles.

As far as I know, Chevrolet updated the basic truck year by year from the 1939 VA, the 1940 WA, the 1941 YR and finally the 1942 MR series.

What I'd like to find out is how widely used was the BASIC TRUCK used (not the LRDG vehicles) either by the Canadians or the Brits as reference is very hard to find, and in what versions. Any photo reference/links would be greatly appreciated.
