Adrian. would say that being the case it would have had to have been towards the end of 42 then i guess.... cant find my books from Mike Starmer othewise I could post an exact date I know by 43 they were knocking them out in the SCC2 more than ever Mike is somewhat the resource on paints and cammo schemes etc. i have the North Africa (after Alamein) and the Scicily / Italy schemes books from him, he has done alot of research from veterans and military correspondence etc to get the colours and the dates / theatres / usage on specific vehicles recorded... I had to use his books to get the correct shade of light stone base for my carrier as the new version of it is wrong for WW2 period.. and looks more like the 40's Desert ZI Pink they had introduced.
