Reproducing speedo gear and brass adapter
Hello All,
I have received a quote on reproducing the speedo driven gear and it's adapter. These two parts go in the extension between the gearbox and the rear axle differential and the speedo cable is screwed on to the brass adapter. Richard was kind enough to lend me these rare parts to make this possible.  The machine shop offered the adapters for € 80 and the gear for € 90. There will be a 19 % VAT or Sales Tax added to this. In my opinion this is a very reasonable quote on reproducing these parts considering the amount of machining needed. The gear will even be hardened to 58-60 Rockwell for a long lifetime.
