I didn't join the CF until the early 90s, so I can't speak for the earlier timeframes like some of the other fossils around here , but I certainly heard the term "RAK" used well prior to the TCCCS, and it has continued since even if its slang now. Actually heard it yesterday while the "Toaster Techs" were working on the Comms in the back of a G-Wagon.

If I can remember, i'll look it up on the EDR. For the M38A1 until at least the MLVW, I still saw IKEE listed in the ECCs. I never really payed any attention to the newer stuff, but could look.

Is it possible that both of those terms were used concurrently? I was under the impression that the IKEE was the Power Supply Bendix from the Batteries (Veh/Mat Techs) while the RAK was the Adapters and Sub-Trays required to install the Radios (Rad Techs). Not sure, just a passing thought.
