Gentlemen.....for Canucks only, at this point! This came across my desk today. As mentioned in an earlier note on the forum, Steven Spielberg's epic WW1 movie "War Horse" is to be released on Christmas Day 2011.
A special private screening has been set aside for Canadian Veterans this Wednesday Nov 16th. These screenings will be held in the following cities: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. Contact your local Royal Canadian Legion Branch or call 1 800 263-2853 EXT: 4163398 or visit Facebook.Com/WARHORSEMOVIE for more info. Don't know if those helping the veterans to the movie will be let in free. You'll have to find that out when you call. The movie deals with a boy, his prize horse and the horse being shipped off to the front during WW1. From all that I've heard and read...this is going to be a powerhouse of a movie and play. The play opens in Toronto in Feb. 2012 at the Prince of Wales Theatre. I have a problem thinking Veterans in their 80's and 90's would be on Facebook, but that's just me! Good luck and let us all know the out come.......Robert ![]() |
