cmp info for a newbie

I have come across a cmp flat head v8.
how difficult are parts in canada new/used/reproduction (toronto, can drive or online)? and are they high priced.
to get one road worthy.

I dont plan on daily driving this, just local fun and car shows maybe the odd parades.

thought I would ask before I take the plunge.
